bigKIDS Ministry
At Blue Valley Baptist Church, bigKIDS (children in grades 1-5) are very important. The goal of our bigKIDS ministry is to partner with families to reach children with the gospel of Christ. Helping your children grow in their relationship with God and training them to serve Him, is a privilege we take very seriously.
Sunday Mornings
Sunday School
9:30am
We offer our Sunday School program at 9:30am. During the 11:00 hour we encourage children to worship with their families in the main Church service.
Kids are placed in grade-based classrooms.
Each week we begin with large group worship from 9:35-9:55am which includes:
- Worship
- Scripture
- Video
- Challenge from Scripture
- Prayer
Classroom teaching and Bible study follow and utilize Lifeway's Gospel Project curriculum.
First Time Visitors
A Blue Valley bigKIDS volunteer will help your family check in at our greeter desk located in the Children's Departments of our Antioch and Ridgeview Campuses. Parents/guardians will complete a bigKIDS Guest Registration Card and information from that card will be used to generate a security badge for your child(ren). Parents/guardians will be given a security badge number that matches their child's name badge. This will help ensure proper check out at the end of Sunday School and bigKIDS Time.
Safety
All teachers are required to submit to a thorough background check. In addition all teacher helpers must attend training.
Believers Baptism
This is a very special time for any parent and their child eagerly expressing interest to experience the rich meaning of identifying with Christ publicly. (Matthew 28; Romans 1:16).
With any person who is following in obedience to Christ's command for baptism, we illuminate biblical grounds for this decision. We encourage parents to set an appointment time with the bigKIDS office to discuss this decision.
