Monthly Prayer Emphasis

Getting Ready

Enter, be seated, and meditate in silence on the following verse until Pastor Jonathan opens our time together:

“The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me.” – John 17:22–23 (ESV)

Today’s Focus – Unity

Today we will be asking the Lord to unify our church around Multiply 2028 Campaign.  Specifically, we will be asking the Lord…

  • …for churchwide enthusiasm for the Multiply 2028 Vision.
  • …for churchwide enthusiasm to support the Multiply 2028 Campaign financially.
  • …for individuals churchwide to obey the Great Commission.

Praying the Word

Spend time praying through the following passage of scripture. Read a verse, meditate on it, and use it to form a prayer back to God as He impresses your heart to do so. Keep our specific prayer requests in mind as you do.

[7] He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. [8] But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” – Acts 1:7–8 (ESV)

Spirit-Led Intersession

When led to do so by Pastor Jonathan, get in socially distanced groups of no more than 3 and pray for our church as the Lord leads, keeping in mind our specific requests for clarity today. Spread out into other parts of the church if necessary, but please leave the room as you’ve found it.

Pastor Jonathan will call us back together for a time of corporate intercession for our church as we dismiss.

We encourage you to come back to this guide throughout the month as a reminder to pray for our church as we have been encouraged to today.
