A few weeks have passed since my last update on Ethan, so I wanted to share about what has been happening with him. Yesterday WAS the 8-week mark of Ethan’s being symptom-free, which is a total praise. Over the past 5 weeks now, Ethan has been eating like a normal 5-year-old boy, and has been gaining weight after losing the first 3 months of 2011.

While his symptoms have not come back, Tiffany and Ethan just returned home from Children's Mercy Hospital (12:50am Sunday morning), and Ethan has another ear infection. The doctor told Tiffany the ear infection will not go away without taking an antibiotic-which means there is a definite possibility the HSP could return (we have been told that one of the reasons he originally contracted HSP was a reaction to an antibiotic).

I want to share our deepest gratitude for your praying for Ethan, and ask for your prayers for him to continue over the next few weeks. I will send another update soon with details on how he is doing.
