Dear Preschool Parent: 
 

We have spent this year at Blue Valley Baptist Church Diving into Community and Connection, Personal Discipleship and Service.  We pray that you have been better equipped to teach your child about God as a result of studying our Bibles together this year!

Parent Commitment is really about all of those things and more.  It is a choice parents make and then follows through to intentionally be Christ-like parents to their children… a beginning of modeling, teaching, and giving a legacy of faith.  If you would like to do that publicly please join us on Parent Commitment Sunday, May 10, 2009.

We encourage you to invite family, friends, and your other children to physically stand with you during the service.  Ask these people to be accountability partners with you, helping you to stay focused on the only thing that will matter when life is over… did I teach my child about God?  Has he/she accepted Him as their personal savior?

Please ask someone to pray aloud over your family during the service.  It could be your Sunday School Teacher, a mentor, or a Grandparent just to name a few.  Invite them to join us as we meet with Pastor Derrick that morning to go over the order of service.  Children can stay in their classrooms until we go into the Worship Center, if that is helpful to you.

As you complete the form, pray about what verse God has for you to claim, as you teach your child about Him.  We would like for you to share 2-3 pictures of your child and/or family. These pictures will be shown in Worship during this special service.  Submit the form and pictures ASAP but no later than Sunday, May 03.

PLEASE NOTE:  a separate online form must be completed for each child, however only complete non-duplicated information, i.e. name and age of child, life verse, etc.  Because we have asked for these things in advance, we will be unable to include last minute decisions to participate.
