Global Missions

Global Missions - Our ends of the earth....

BVBC is a part of the Southern Baptist Convention, and as such supports the global missions efforts and missional strategy of the International Mission Board (IMB) and the Baptist Global Response (BGR)

We support our IMB through long-term people group and institutional partnerships and the disaster relief efforts of the BGR.  We also promote and collect the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering each December which directly funds missions efforts of IMB missionaries.

We are currently involved in working with the IMB and BGR in the following areas:

  • Food for His Glory project, Ram Tikdi Slum, Pune, India (See Update Below)
  • Sparsh India Human Trafficking Response & Recovery Project, Pune, India

We have also begun a strategic partnership with Samaritan’s Purse in which we have a long history of involvement through Operation Christmas Child. We have recently participated in a vision trip (click for photos) to Iraq with Samaritan’s Purse leadership to explore how our church could minister to refugees in the region, as well as potentially assisting with other global disaster relief projects.  Click here for an updated situation report from Iraq dated July 17, 2017

We also promote International Commission trips around the globe.  For more information, contact International Commission directly at

India Update:

A huge thank you to our BVBC family for praying for us while we ministered in India. We had over 230 children at VBS! We also visited and prayed over men, women, and children at the AIDS care home, and planted trees (one in BVBC's name) on Pastor Timothy's land that will be home to his orphans and prostitutes’ children. We experienced a miracle on day 4 of our VBS and would love to share that and all of our trip with you—grab a team member and ask! Won’t you consider joining us for next year’s India VBS trip, May 24 to June 4?
