Dear Dads and Moms:
Have you ever thought about how many times your preschooler uses their
sense of taste, touch, hearing, seeing and smelling every day??? LOTS!
God has given us these wonderful gifts… let’s celebrate them!!! Miss
Marilyn and friends are busy getting ready for God Gave Us Senses Day, you
won’t want to miss it!!!
If you are new to Blue Valley Baptist Church--it is a morning of play for
you and your preschooler(s), and a great opportunity for you to invite a
friend or neighbor to come with you, introducing them to BVBC. You and
your preschooler(s) will be using ALL of your senses as you touch the
play dough and smell the different scents that we will be using to make it.
Your hands, eyes and ears will be active with hammering, playing in pools
of rice or moving with the music.
Your feet will be busy as you walk through Jell-O, cotton balls, etc. How does
it feel? And your mouths will also experience the many different nutritious
snacks you will bring.
There will be special activities set up for even the youngest in mind! Sounds
like fun?? Make plans now to join us for a great morning of fellowship with other preschool
parents, as we celebrate our senses.
WHO: Parents, grandparents, preschoolers (Birth through Kindergarten) Friends/neighbors
WHAT: Bring a snack (ingredients labeled for allergies please) to share, and a child
sized T-shirt, sweatshirt or baby bib (optional or you can purchase at event)
WHEN: Saturday, January 28, 2011 from 9:30 to 11:30 am
WHERE: Blue Valley Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall
Come in out of the cold with LOTS of energy; ready to taste, smell, hear, see and touch it all!
