Do you have available space for more moms? Right now we have plenty of room! However, register now so that we can ensure we have childcare for you.

How much does MOPS cost? $50 per semester which includes the annual MOPS International membership fee.

Where can I find a registration form? Download a registration form here.

Where do I send my dues? Make checks out to Blue Valley Baptist Church and send to: Blue Valley Baptist Church, Attn: MOPS, 8925 W 151st St., Overland Park, KS 66221

What day is your MOPS The second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 9:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.

Do I have to be a member of Blue Valley Baptist Church to attend MOPS? No. MOPS is an international organization that welcomes ANY mom with children kindergarten age and under.

What is the average age of your group? We have moms that range from 20’s to 40’s. There is usually a good mix.

Do you have a waiting list? Not at this time.

Can I attend a meeting before deciding to pay for the whole semester? We would love to have you if there is room and no waiting list. Just contact us about the meeting you would like to attend. Guests are free for the first meeting but let us know in advance so we can arrange childcare.

Where do you meet in the church? We meet in the lower level of the church. There will be signs or a welcome committee to show you around the first day.

What do I need to do to sign up my children? When you put your child’s information on the registration form, they are signed up. You will then be able to pick up your security labels at your child's childcare room. You will need these security labels to pick up your child.

Do you do a background check on childcare workers? Yes, ALL childcare workers must get a background check and go through training.

Are we required to work in the nursery? No. Blue Valley Baptist Church has generously provided childcare workers so that you can concentrate on you!

Can I bring my newborn with me to the meeting? All he does is sleep and eat. Newborns are welcome to attend the meetings with their moms. Traditionally babies around 6 months and older go to childcare as a courtesy to other moms. You are welcome to check on your baby anytime you want and someone will notify you if there is a problem.

I am pregnant with my first child and would like to get to know other moms. Can I still attend MOPS even though I have no “official” children yet? Of course! Please join us. You will be able to benefit from the support of other moms as you welcome your little one.

How do you determine who sits at what table? We mix it up. We want you to be able to bond and enjoy outside play groups together.

Can I request to be at a specific table with my best friend? We can’t always meet everyone’s requests. Since you already know your friend, we encourage you to make new friends at a different table. Sometimes we combine tables for certain meetings, so you may end up with her at times. Plus, there is always time to chat while getting breakfast.

Do you offer scholarships? We would be happy to discuss scholarships with anyone who needs financial help. Please contact the finance coordinator for more information.
