Crossroads Church KC Mission Partnership

Description: Work in partnership with the Kansas City Kansas Baptist Association in the development of a new church start in the arts District of downtown KCK. Opportunities include helping with childcare, visitation, VBS, leading worship, prayer walking, church leadership development, etc.

Cowboy Church Team

Description: Lead and model worship through testimonies, music, prayer, and short devotions for the youth and the leadership of the Rutlader Outpost Cowboy Church.

Haiti Relief Response Team

BGR Home Care Kit Project

Description: Collection and sponsorship of palliative care kits for aids victims in Africa.
Who: BVBC families, in partnership with the Kansas City Kansas Baptist Association, Kansas Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists, and Baptist Global Response. BVBC will be a collection site for this region of our state.
Costs: Sponsorship is $90 per bucket.
Portugal Library Team

Description: The Portuguese Baptist Seminary, in partnership with the Kansas Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptist, has requested a mission team to assist in the seminary library this Spring.
Who: Adult individuals who are familiar with church libraries and have the necessary expertise to help in processing/catalog books, book repair, and updating their filling system.

Missions KC

Description: Worship leadership, personal evangelism, prayer walking, and other work projects as needed within the BVBC / Crossroads Church plant partnership.
Who: Open the members of the BVBC Student Choir and its leadership.

International Commission Jamaica Trip

East Asia Development Team

Description: Work with IMB leadership in an East Asian country to train church leadership, develop sustainable partnerships with other faith-based organizations, and train local business leadership.

Model Village Project Documentary Team

Description: Media and interview documentary on long-term project possibilities in India and Zimbabwe.
Who: Videographer, photo journalist, pastoral leadership.
ACTS Kenya Orphanage Project

Dates: June 2011 (2 weeks)
Team Size: 12-15 (including 4 adults)
Description: Working with ACTS missions organization to meet needs at local orphanages in the area around Tigoni and Limuru, Kenya. More details to follow after January 2011.
Who: BVBC students 14-18 years old and student ministry leadership.
Kansas City Christian School Urban Educational Initative

Dates: Ongoing
Description: Partnering with KCCS and Freedom Fire Urban Ministries to sponsor one inner-city low income child at KCCS. This is a ministry opportunity for families to make a difference in the life of a child who would never have the opportunity to have a college prep educational program.
Who: Anyone interested.
Cost: $700 per month or $7,000 per year per child.

Viola Web State Missions Offering (Kansas – Nebraska Missions) – September 2010
The Viola Webb Missions Offering benefits mission causes in the Kansas-Nebraska Convention of Southern Baptists and your local association. Receipts are split 50/50 between KNCSB and the association where the money was given. The offering is named for Viola Webb, who directed Kansas-Nebraska Woman's Missionary Union for 25 years.
