Celebrating our bvbcGRADUATES

This past weekend was Graduate Weekend for our High School Seniors and their families.  Looking at this picture from this angle I am deeply grateful to be a part of each of these dear families and their involvement.  Our weekend began with our first annual Grad Banquet:

Over 65 people participated between Graduates, their immediate families, Junior students and their parents, and lead teams of adults.

Graduates and their families were served a meal and dessert by the Junior students and parents.

Much was to be celebrated for the evening.

We had a few guest speakers for the night which included:

Dan Storey, Julie Chastain, and Brian Hutchings.  Each shared memories of this Senior class and the impact each student made on their lives.  Before finishing their speeches all gave a challenge from God's Word and encouraged them to stay in the Word.

I am so proud of all the Juniors and Adults who served the graduates and their families.

Way to go...

We were missing a few from the final group picture but what a memorable night that God used to bless and encourage the Graduates and their families.

Sunday was wonderful as the Graduates of 2008 were presented before the church family of Blue Valley Baptist Church.  As a church family we are proud of our Graduates and their families.  Stay strong and courageous and know

Thank you Parents, Students, and church family for supporting the Graduates and their families through this significant time in their lives.

It was a very nice weekend, JWes. Good job and thanks to the Jr. students and families who did so much. I gotta admit, it was nice not having to do it this year and we really appreciated their efforts! We're proud of Seth and appreciate all that BVBC's student ministries have meant to him and the rest of our family.
