Can you believe it? This day is actually happening! How can I begin to use words that would even describe how truly blessed I am to have been your Student Pastor this past year and a half. I don’t believe I can truly articulate in this moment how much of an honor it has been to be a part of your spiritual journey, your family in this way, and this crucial part of your life now. For my wife and I to have witnessed such a bond and unique appreciation for each other is something we will never forget.
I can truly say I have never seen in my 10 years of vocational ministry ever witnessed the incredible bond, love, support, unity, and spiritual depth than what I have witnessed already with you here at Blue Valley Baptist Church. What I have seen is a class that has pulled together and fought battles for each other, and ultimately have been there for each other through accountability to the Word of God, to your relationship with Jesus Christ, to sharing your faith with others, to be baptized before the church-family, to be connected into the fellowship and for a lot of you to sense a vocational call into full-time Gospel ministry. I am grateful to God to have experienced this with you.
Therefore, I challenge you in these coming days to remember how the One True God, of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob called you out, just like He did to Moses, and showed Himself faithful and true to His Word. God will be faithful to you as you abide in Him. Don’t miss out on the abundant life God has called you to, through Christ. If failure is creeping at your door don’t open it. If foolishness has drawn you to a darkened life with the world, turn your back and run into the marvelous light of Jesus. If fear is gripping you from sharing this hope that you have, remember God will never leave you or turn His back on you. He is there.
In close, I heard a pastor share this one time and I’d like to share it with you. In all you do remember, “Those who pray the most, will live the best.” Why is that you ask? Because those who continually seek the heart of God and stay in tune with their personal walk with Christ will hear from God and the voice of Truth will be in them leading, guiding, and giving direction. From that remember, I love you, your church-family loves you, your parents love you and always remember Jesus loves you more than anybody ever will, always! Go and share what God has given you. God bless you!
With much Love in Christ,
