Joseph (Joe) Coulter

Tell us about your family:

My family is a true blessing to me. My wonderful wife Lynda and I have been blessed with a daughter Michele, her husband Kenneth, and two grandsons Logan (16) and Blake (13). I am thankful to be able to day that every member of our family deeply loves our Lord, have professed our faith in Him, and been baptized in His name.

How long have you been at BVBC?

Lynda and I have been attending for around 8-9 years. In October of 2011 we transferred our letter from a local Baptist Church and joined BVBC on November 1, 2011.

What Campus do you attend?

The Antioch Campus.

What do you do at BVBC?

Lynda and I have been members of Chuck Glenn’s Sunday School Class for 5-6 years. I help Chuck with the 11 o’clock class with calendar events, gathering praises, and prayer requests. Lynda has worked in the children’s programs such as VBS and Cookie Days and for the last three years has worked with AWANA.  I have helped as church photographer for VBS and Cookie Days for 5-6 years and helped with other children’s events.

Tell Us About Your Family:

My husband, Carl, and I will celebrate 32 years of marriage in December.  Carl is the guy on saxophone in the Ridgeview campus orchestra.  He and I raised three precious children that have grown up, left the nest, and have begun nests of their own.  Our oldest child, Seth, married his BVBC high school sweetheart, Amber (Gaylord).  They live in Hays, KS with the tiniest member of our family, 4 month old Ellison Mae.   Andie, our daughter, lives in Durham, NC with her husband Garrett as he finishes work on his MDiv at Duke Divinity School.  Theirs is a nest of three with our granddaughter, 16 month old Arden Elise.  We are enthusiastically anticipating the growth of our family once again at the end of November.  The marriage of our youngest son, Jaxon, to Mary (Wilson) will gain us another wonderful daughter-in-law and we could not be more thrilled.

How Long Have You Been at BVBC?

We joined BVBC in the fall of 2003 at which time our two oldest children had just reached the age to join BVBC’s Student Ministry.   All three of our kids had the privilege of spending their formative years in this ministry.

What Campus do you attend?

Carl and I moved to and joined the Ridgeview Campus when it opened in February 2015.

What do you do at BVBC?

Sunday mornings I can be found in a preschool classroom wearing my green littleKIDS t-shirt teaching 3 and 4 year old Sunday School.  Sunday nights I teach the G.L.O.W. Missions Study for bigKIDS.  I also volunteer once a week in the Ridgeview Campus church office.

Caleb graduated from Central College in Pella, IA in 2015 and currently works in the chemistry lab at Honeywell in Belton.  Abbey and Dani are completing their elementary education degrees.  Dani will graduate from Emporia State in December ’16 and will work for the Olathe School District starting next school year.  Abbey will graduate in December ’17 from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN.

How Long Have You Been at BVBC?

We joined BVBC in May 2007.

What Campus do you attend?

Most of my Sunday mornings are spent at the Antioch Campus preaching.  But I attend Ridgeview with Julie several times a year both to preach and, occasionally, simply to worship with our church family there.

What do you do at BVBC?

I serve as the Lead Pastor and one of the vocational elders.  Julie serves in the littleKIDS Ministry on both campuses.

Tell Us About Your Family:

My wife, Pam and I have been married for 30 years. Both of our children are adopted. Steven, our oldest will be turning 26 in December and lives in Denver Colorado, where he works for a Christian-owned company that installs, maintains and monitors security and fire alarm systems. Outside of his love for Christ, his other great passion is rock climbing. He enjoys the reaction he gets from his Grandma, Norma Canady, when he posts pictures where he is 500-700 feet up on the side of a cliff! Brittany is our youngest at 18 and is a freshman at JCCC, she also works at Robeks, where she is becoming an expert at making smoothies! Additionally Brittany works with JWes in the bigKIDS area during the 11am service. Pam has been a nurse for, I believe, 32 years. She loves patient care and has been working the past 15 years in home health care, much of that time caring for critical care infants and children.

How Long Have You Been at BVBC?

We joined BVBC in July 2008.

What Campus do you attend?

Most of the time we attend the Antioch Campus, but we love visiting the Ridgeview Campus from time to time!

I have served on the Deacon board for 6 years. Pam serves alongside me in leading the Parents of High School student’s class and also works in the littleKIDS Ministry on the 1st and 5th Sundays of the month (Did you know you can do that? Yea, if you are unable to serve every week, just let Tracy know and you can pick 1 or more Sundays a month -This message brought to you in living color by the BVBC littleKIDS Ministry).
